Young Athens Professionals (YAP) is now Connecting Athens Professionals (CAP)!

Connecting Athens Professionals (CAP) offers a laid-back gathering space for emerging and experienced professionals. Organized by Athens Area Chamber of Commerce, Athens County Economic Development Council (ACEDC), and founded by Career Connections and the ACEDC in 2009, Connecting Athens Professionals (CAP) encourages emerging and experienced professionals of Athens to meet and network while supporting local businesses.

CAP Happy Hours help to intentionally create a welcoming and informal environment for emerging leaders to feel comfortable creating and fostering new connections. They offer a chance to socialize with other professionals while patronizing a different business every month.

CAP events are open-house style and are free and open to the public.
