SPGH Preliminary Designs

The Athens County Port Authority is in pre-development stages of developing two (2) speculative buildings at the Bill Theisen Industrial Park (The Plains, OH). In 2018, The Port contracted SPGH Architects to prepare preliminary conceptual designs for the two buildings, a 33,000 sq ft. building for biomedical lab and office space, and a 143,000 sq ft building for industrial manufacturing and warehouse space. Due Diligence Studies

With assistance from the Appalachian Partnership for Economic Growth (APEG), the Athens County Port Authority participated in the Site Readiness Grant, which covered the cost of several site due diligence studies. Engineering firm Burges and Niple completed the following studies in 2018: wetland delineation, threatened & endangered species, cultural resources report, geo-technical and grading reports. Phase I and II Property Assessments were completed in 2009 by Malcom Pirnie and are available upon request.
