Ohio’s Innovation Economy is Thriving
The State of Startups: Ohio report was recently published. It showcases the State of Ohio’s many recent successes in fostering growth within science and tech-enabled startups as a result of the aggregated work of the many Ohio Third Frontier, Ohio Department of Development supported entities. In the past four years alone, Ohio’s startup ecosystem has created 10,570 jobs, funded 167 companies, and provided $10B in economic impact.
2021 was another record-breaking year across the state as a result of the Innovation Center’s work and that of its statewide venture development partnering organizations. The IC is proud to serve the incubation role for Southeast Ohio and to bolster the education, training, and business development so valuable to the region’s entrepreneurs and tech startups. The IC is grateful to the many State of Ohio leaders who have supported the funding which has resulted in these incredible outcomes.
