Innovation Center Welcomes Area 14 Workforce Development Board

“The Innovation Center is excited to announce our newest anchor tenant, the Area 14 Workforce Development Board! The board manages several programs that focus on improving our region’s workforce through career and job search-related services, assistance to employers, training, employer incentives, and education.
Director Laurie McKnight said, “Area 14 is very excited to be coming to the Innovation Center! The opportunity to be on-site to help our startup businesses by providing wrap-around services in conjunction with the Innovation Center staff, Athens County Economic Development Council, and the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce will be a great asset.” The Innovation Center has had strong synergy with the Area 14 Workforce Development Board in the past when mutually assisting clients with talent acquisition. “We know that Laurie and her team will continue to provide beneficial value-added services to our clients and to the community,” said Stacy Strauss.”
